 THE PROJECT

The SPLASH Project was born from love, loss, and the enduring belief that art and community can heal.
On Father’s Day in June 2016, Iran Jr. Brugueras, known lovingly as
“Splash,” passed away unexpectedly. From a young age, Iran faced the challenges of mental illness with remarkable courage and honesty. He turned his pain into purpose through music, poetry, and performance art —transforming his struggles into messages of hope for others who shared his
journey. To honor his life and the values he lived by, Iran’s family founded The S.P.L.A.S.H. Project — Special People Looking & Aiming for Success &Health.

Our Mission
The SPLASH Project’s mission is to create a platform that promotes
spirituality, empowerment, health, and success.
We are dedicated to helping individuals build themselves to their full potential by:
● Identifying and reducing barriers to personal growth
● Raising awareness around mental health
● Nurturing strong family and community dynamics

Through creativity, advocacy, and community care, SPLASH empowers people to express themselves, heal, and thrive.

The Project’s first initiative was the creation of the Iran Brugueras Jr.
SPLASH Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving
, serving the Greater Hartford region. The SPLASH Fund supports nonprofit organizations that work with inner-city children, youth, and young adults living with mental illness, with an emphasis on:
● Holistic and multidisciplinary care approaches
● Alternatives to medication and traditional treatment
● Incorporating music, art, and creative expression as tools for healing
● Supporting families and primary caregivers in their vital roles

Every donation to the SPLASH Fund helps continue Iran’s mission — transforming struggle into strength and art into healing.
All donations are tax-deductible.
